Agreement
Students decided, at the beginning of the year with Mrs Griffin’s help, to the following statements:
- We want our class to be an exciting, fun, and safe place to learn.
- We will look after ourselves and each other.
- We will make thoughtful and sensible behaviour choices.
Handprints
Each student’s handprint is added to the Trust Tree to show their commitment to being a class member. These symbolise their agreement to follow the classroom rules, uphold the school values, and demonstrate the ‘leaf’ qualities.
I like my orange handprint.
I will try hard to follow the classroom rules.
When Mrs. Griffin puts my handprint on our Trust Tree, it shows I am part of Room 16. I like being in Room 16. I will follow the rules and do my best.
A growing tree
The Trust Tree is a growing tree. Mrs Griffin and the students will add leaves weekly and handprints to the tree as new students start school. Thankfully, this tree doesn’t need watering or sunshine.
